Joe and Jillian’s friend Jill (same name) lived in a dorm together when they both transferred to Cornell. Jill and Jillian were out for $3 Long Island Ice Teas and Joe and another person who had lived in the dorm with them came over to say hi to Jill. That’s how Jillian and Joe met for the first time and that’s also where they had their first date.
Joe and Jillian dated for 8 years when Joe decided to pop the question. Jillian was gone for a bridal shower that day. Joe asked her parents permission while she was gone. When Jillian came back from the bridal shower, the couple went for a walk in Oyster Bay along the water. They walked out to the end of a pier and began talking about their upcoming move to Boston. Joe was looking at Jillian funny, and when she asked him why he was looking at her like that, he reached for his pocket. He took out the ring, got down on one knee, and asked “Will you?” Since it took him 8 years, Jillian gave him some crap first before saying yes!
Their wedding ceremony took place at Jillian’s parents house. It was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding. The Reception took place at the DeServersky Mansion.
