Kathryn and Ben went to college together at the University of Richmond and knew of each other, but weren’t really friends. They reconnected a few years after graduating when they were both living in NYC. The couple bonded on long train rides from NYC to the Hamptons in the summer of 2012. Kathryn and Ben dated for 3 years before they got engaged.
Ben proposed to Kathryn on Feb 18th, 2016 in Gramercy Park. It was such a surprise to Kathryn because it was a random Thursday night after work. And it was such a special place because it was important to Ben to propose in NYC but also that it was completely private, so this was perfect! After he proposed, the couple went to a nice dinner and then took a surprise trip down to Richmond for the weekend. When they got back they continued the celebrations at a great dinner with both families. It was such an unforgettable weekend!!
Their wedding took place at Gansett Green Manor in Amagansett, NY. Gansett Green Manor only hosts about 5 weddings a year, its a very beautiful, secluded venue on the East End of Long Island.
