Jenna and Alex met when their best friends set them up. Jenna was supposed to go see Harry Potter with her best friend and her boyfriend… and they secretly brought Alex along. Jenna was ambushed, but it was a good thing because it all worked out. The two dated for about 8 years. There 9th anniversary together was just four days before their wedding day. The couple dated when Alex was 19 and Jenna was 21. Jenna was automatically cooler because she could buy beer for Alex and his friends! Their first three years together was long distance because Alex was away at Miami University in Ohio. After his junior year, Alex lost his dad suddenly to cancer. Although it was a trying time in their relationship, it made the couple stronger and closer than before.
Alex proposed to Jenna at Bedell vineyard on Long Island over Memorial Day weekend. After some wine, they went on a walk by the vines to a quiet spot and he got down on one knee! In shock, Jenna screamed “NO!” (as in “no way!) and she accidentally knocked the ring out of Alex’s hand. He found the ring in the grass moments later, thank goodness… and there were tears of joy!
